Such historical significance! Calumet was once the life blood of the American Copper Industry. A place important enough to be considered as a possible location for the state capital of Michigan. Today we remember the importance of this place regarding industry, early labor unions and as a melding pot of European immigrants, in the 1800 through early 1900s. We have chosen the earthiness found in teakwood, the musky of oakmoss and an awesome amber we can only describe as "pneumatic". We hope it awakens your curiosity in the Keweenaw and its importance in our country's history!
